Most of us know one another by our name at graduation -then add married name in profile
(I know a few of you have changed names besides simply the maiden name option.)

Comment: I retired from NTID/RIT and Rochester School for the Deaf as Director of Outreach Center in 2006. My husband Alan retired in D.C. in 2015 after 50 years of professional life in St Louis, Rochester, NY and Washington,DC. We've been married 54 years, and celebrated our 50th in Greece, Italy and Turkey. Our son Bernard and his wife Stacy have a college age daughter at Hobart and William Smith, and a son in high school near our home. Our daughter Stephanie lives in Austin, TX. We enjoy "snowbirding" in Surprise, Arizona during winters. I cherish memories of the years I spent at Ladue High and hope to hear from those who knew me. |

Comment:
Attended DePauw University first two years of college, transferred to/graduated from MacMurray College, Jacksonville IL, majoring in Special Education, thinking (mistakenly) I wanted to be a middle school spec. ed teacher. After three years in Chicago area, left teaching, started my own craft business, Wee Woodens (miniature figures of children)-- which happily supported me for the next 10+ years, mostly in St. Louis area. Met my husband (and his pre-teen son, Chris) in St. Louis in early '80s, we three moved to Denver. Our daughter, Heather, was born in '85, we shortly moved back to Ladue where Chris completed high school and graduated from Ladue in '89. Mr. Heyde and Mr. Young were still there... and maybe a couple of phys ed teachers. Daughter Heather attended K - 2 at Conway, in "my" old classrooms! When I was 45, my husband and I had our second child, Matt, then spent most of the two younger children's growing up year in Columbia, MD, suburb of Baltimore where I worked for a social science and health care research company. Currently daughter Heather, 29, is engaged and completing Masters in Maryland, son Matt, 22, is living in Hawaii on the Big Island learning about sustainable organic gardening (a WWOOF-type experience), and my husband Rey and I have retired to very rural South Carolina (Pinewood, near Sumter), his boyhood home. We're working on restoring the pre-Civil War country farm house where my husband and his eight siblings grew up, and helping his very alert 87 old mother stay here in her beloved home. Last summer my husband and I and our two adult children (who happily both had pauses in their busy lives) were able to take a hilarious two week family camping odyssey/road trip following old highway 40 from Maryland to Denver, with stops along the way to revisit our past, including St. Louis and the fantastic new Busch Stadium to see the Cards beat the Cubbies! |
