Deceased July 21, 2019 Cannot believe it is 50 years since we graduated from high school. I am married to Steven for 47 years. We have two children: David who passed away in 2009 at the age of 39 from severe asthma and bronchial malasia. Our daughter Jill lives in Venice, Italy and is married to Andrea (Andrew) Luppi. Both of our children went through Ladue Schools and all four of us graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Steve and I worked together for years and then I started substitute teaching in Ladue and have been doing that for the past 19 years. Steve is retired and now he substitute teaches in Ladue, too. We travel often to Italy and still enjoy living in St. Louis. I see several of our classmates on a regular basis and teachers Bill Heyde and Hank Kauffmann. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion! |

Still enjoy seeing friends from our class, and regularly hang out with Jess and Bev. Glad to see Powell's note that he's still kicking, and I think of him most times when I pass by his old house around Price & Clayton roads. I feel very luck with my beautiful wife of 37 years, JoLynn, our two kids Adam and Lauren, and grandson Owen with another on the way. About the only thing that could be better would be to have our kids here, rather than flying to New York, or having them come here when we get together. At least they are both in the same city. Still working as a consultant and enjoying it. I have no clue what I might do if and when I quit working. Learning Chinese is about the only thing that comes to mind. I look forward to seeing everyone next year! UPDATE: Retired in early 2016. Had shoulder-replacement shortly thereafter to fix pain from 65+years walking on crutches. Still walking around some, but mostly driving various scooters I got to get me around easily. Getting used to retirement with numerous charitable activities, lots of bridge tournaments, a few good books, and too much TV. JoLynn is doing well with lots of church activity, book clubs, and game groups. Our kids are doing great, both in NY area. Each has two great kids and we try to get together as much as possible to stay close to our kids and grandkids. It is great to work with the reunion group, and I look forward to seeing many of you again in September, or at our 55th reunion on September 14, 2019. Update: March of 2021: Surviving the pandemic and awaiting my second vaccination next week. Pretty boring, but playing lots of virtual bridge tournaments and zooming lots of non-profit volunteer or Board meetings. JoLynn still very Pillar Church active. Adam's gang has moved to Minnesota. Great to see videos and Marco Polos of Leona and Freddie playing in the snow, despite sub-zero temperatures. They will be visiting at Easter. Lauren's gang still in New York area. Teddy just had his 7th birthday and older brother Owen is doing great in 4th grade. 60th reunion not so far away! |
